Distance Learning Day Camps can be completely customized to fit the needs of your child's school schedule, social needs, and a parent's work schedule!
Distance Learning Camp customization can include a variety of important daily activities such as class time via Zoom, independent study time, social engagement with kids and adults, physical activity, and even quality time reading! We have a variety of opportunities to help kids manage the balance between screen time and playtime! It's our goal to send GymStars kids home each night with school completed, hearts happy, and perfectly tired from a good day of education and playtime!
Everything we do also keeps the importance on safety and health! Social distancing, mask-wearing, and regular sanitization is part of our day. We do our best to make it as seamless and stress-free for the kids by social distancing with tables, activity mats, spacing out equipment, and more. Parents are more than welcome to learn more about our GymStars safety and health protocols we have in place as a facility, and also as an organization that took the Stockton Healthy Pledge! Just ask us, we are proud to share!

Distance Learning Specifically:
Kids (and Parents) do better when they have a designated place, person, and schedule to do their work -- GymStars provides that continuity and care! Kids bring their school materials, connect to our Wi-Fi, and have the support to be successful with their lessons. Parents will need to ensure all materials necessary are brought to camp (Chromebooks, reading books, notebooks, school work packets) and our Coaches will guide kids to ensure they stay on task as well as be a resource for answers to questions on schoolwork. Coaches are not in the role of teacher but will guide kids to use their time wisely and in a friendly, safe, stress-free environment.
Distance Learning Times are Provided Daily:
School-Age Kids are welcome every weekday from as early as 7:30am to as late as 6:00pm. Our DLDC portion is a 10:1 ratio kids to coach in a physical distancing setting for the morning setting. Check out our Afternoon Camps for added customizable times into the later part of the day. Choose how many days a week you want them to attend -- from one day a week to 5 days a week -- whatever is best for the household's schedule and the success of your child. The time will be primarily spent on schoolwork, but will also include a half-hour of physical activity to keep the body and brain in harmony. And, YES, we do have early drop-offs (and early-early drop off) options to meet working parents' needs.
**Note, if school Zooms go past 12 or if schoolwork goes past 12 and child is enrolled in Afternoon Camp, we will continue Distance Learning until Zoom/Work is completed. PLUS, if you enroll in Distance Learning and Afternoon Camp you receive 30% off the Afternoon Camp!!!

Afternoon Day Camp begins After Distance Learning Ends!
Afternoon Camp Specifically:
Kids enjoy the time away from the school work and off the screen - our PM Camps provide that play time and social activity that help balance a hard day's work. PM Camps include social distance games, physical movement, and social interaction with other kids! It's a half day of Recess! But with a focus and a structure to keep kids safe and healthy.
Afternoon Camp is Provided Daily:
Kids get to have some fun time daily every afternoon from 1:00pm to 4:30pm. Choose how many days you want kids to attend. For kids that were part of our Distance Camp, there is no break-in time! The lunch hour is covered (12:00 - 1:00pm), just make sure to pack them something to eat! And, YES, we do have late pick-up options to meet working parents' needs.

Weekly rate = $135

Camp Snacks and Lunches for Camp Types
All campers must bring a morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack (depending on their enrollment times, we do not provide food, but will provide time at our water drinking station).
NOTE: At GymStars camps, the kids burn more energy than they are typically used to and therefore burn more calories. To replenish those calories please, send them with more snacks than they would need on a normal day.

Early and Late Drop-Offs Available

We are doing our best to not only meet the needs of our parents but most importantly, meet the needs of the kids in our community. Safety and good health are at the top of our concerns, but with those needs being met, the next priority is the well-being of kids and helping them be resilient, happy, adaptable, motivated, and to succeed in ever-changing environments. No matter the circumstances, we want kids to know they can "REACH FOR THE STARS".
